But the preferred method would be to use an FTP Client like Filezilla, CoreFTP, CuteFTP etc. Most Programs one uses to develop websites with has built-in ftp functions which will work fine once you have set it up correctly with the ftp settings provided in your "Welcome Email"

Both the LINUX and WINDOWS Servers comes with the functionality to install databases. The LINUX Servers Supports: MySQL The LOCAL Windows Server Supports: MySQL MSSQL 2000 MSSQL 2005 MS Access

How will I administer my Databases?

Both the LINUX and WINDOWS servers have Web Based Tools to administer your databases. On the LINUX servers: MySQL is administered through phpMyAdmin or use your favorite Desktop Based MySQL Administrator. On the WINDOWS servers: *MySQL is administered through phpMyAdmin or use your favorite Desktop Based MySQL Administrator. *MS SQL is administered through SQL Server Web Data Administrator or use your favorite Desktop Based MSSQL Administrator. (like SQL Server Enterprise Manager)
